Wasserman Foundation Donates $4 Million to Fund Thousands of Los Angeles Projects

We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with the Wasserman Foundation. Longtime contributors to Los Angeles Schools, the Foundation has made a two-year commitment of $4 million to support Los Angeles School District and charter teachers.
Starting this month, over 600,000 Los Angeles households with a student attending a public school in LAUSD will receive a $15 gift card to fund classroom projects of their choice. Additionally, the Wasserman Foundation donation will match funding for all LAUSD public and charter school projects during the next two years.
Launching in early 2012, every customer who visits a Los Angeles Starbucks will also be handed a gift card, enabling them to become an education micro-philanthropists and engage with their public schools in a simple, accountable and personal way.
The Wasserman Foundation believes every child has a right to a quality education and that education leads to economic opportunity and advancement. Thanks to this partnership, thousands of Los Angeles teachers will be able to give their students a quality education.
