DonorsChoose.org is partnering with NBC’s A More Colorful World initiative, which will coordinate programming across NBC networks in order to make a difference to those in need.
The first focus of campaign is Education, which launches today in conjunction with the premiere of the show “School Pride” (tonight at 8 p.m. on NBC!). The shows follow students, teachers, and parents as they roll up their sleeves and rebuild their own schools – concluding with the unveiling of a brand new, completely transformed school.
“‘School Pride’ will get the conversation started around the state of our schools. We hope the show will inspire viewers to action by supporting a teacher in their own neighborhood who has posted a project request on DonorsChoose.org,” said DonorsChoose.org CEO Charles Best.
NBC.com’s My School Pride site gives viewers, parents, teachers, and community leaders tangible ways to help local schools. Visitors can also search for DonorsChoose.org projects to support at schools in their local communities. We’re really excited to be a part of NBC’s efforts to support public education!
