This Veterans Day, Cognizant Technology Solutions is honoring our troops by funding a match offer on all Maker projects at schools serving military families. Cognizant’s Making the Future education initiative seeks to inspire young learners to pursue science, technology, engineering, and math disciplines by creating fun, hands-on learning opportunities.
The fun aspect of this funding opportunity is that Maker projects can be wide-ranging while engaging students to create their own original designs. Any combination of hand tools, equipment, consumable materials and technology may be needed to make electronic gadgets, robots, craft-oriented projects, digital fabrication, hydroponics, food and clothing/wearable projects or other inspiring creations.
Might you consider joining Cognizant in honoring the troops? Check out the projects here!
If you’re a teacher who is interested in posting a maker project, make sure your project adheres to the following guidelines:
Your project must have a total cost of $2,000 or less.
Limit of 2 projects funded per teacher.
Projects will be hand-selected for this offer. Once your project is live on the site, you will see the half-off logo appear within a week.
